How can I be sure that the trader I get through No Rogue Traders Here is who they say they are and that they won’t rip me off?
Every business on our books has been rigorously checked by both Trading Standards and our team. We’ve checked their personal identity, credit rating, bankruptcy history, professional qualifications, licenses and insurance. We even have a word with, suppliers and other customers with whom they’ve worked. This Trading Standards backed initiative means you really are in safe hands!
Do you have home addresses for all your businesses?
Yes we do. Every NRTH business must also provide us with proof of their home address and/or their presence on the electoral register.
But sometimes a business may not have debts while the owner/s have large debts?
All business owners on our books undergo personal credit checks. This is in addition to the company also being credit checked. We are licensed to perform consumer credit checking and if a company owner has CCJ's totalling over £1000 and they've been registered within the last 3 years they will be refused entry onto our network. This also applies if a registered owner of a business is bankrupt.
Is the No Rogue Traders Here service really completely free?
The No Rogue Traders Here consumer protection service is completely free to the consumer. It is free to register with us and free to use the services we offer.
How long does it take to find the right professional for my job?
As soon as your job is posted either directly on our site or by using our support line on 0800 233 5000, we'll contact our approved, Trading Standards passed professionals to quote for your work. This system is, generally, quite fast - you could get a professional to your door before the end of the day - at worst and within a hour, you should have some trader profiles sitting in your client portal watiing for you to call them.
What if I am not happy with any service/work done by a NRTH trader?
Call us immediately. Customer satisfaction is of the highest priority to us. We will get on to it straight away and, if we need to, we will arrange to inspect the work ourselves. We will try to arrive at a solution that is acceptable to both parties. Where there is a difference of opinion about the standard of work or the price charged, we reserve the right to appoint a third party business taken from our list of approved businesses to provide an independent opinion to inform our decision making process. Businesses who are members of our consumer protection service have all agreed to be bound by the decision of Trading Standards should any dispute with a customer reach this stage. Your statutory rights are not affected.
