About Us

"NO ROGUE TRADERS HERE" is one man's vision, set up in order to combat the increasing problems caused by rogue traders in the UK. When he realised that there was no way for a consumer to get peace of mind when choosing local professionals and tradesmen he set up "NO ROGUE TRADERS HERE" to help solve that problem..

The vision has materialised into this website, and this site has been constructed in order to set a standard by which local businesses and professionals can measure themselves in order to get quality leads from customers who want a quality service.

The idea to meet every business personally and to provide things such as driving licences, passports and other documents has proven successful in eradicating those rogue businesses that don't seem to have a permanent address. These businesses usually have bad debts and sometimes a trail of unhappy customers or customers still awaiting completion of work.

Other checks help to eradicate this such as identity, bankruptcy and credit checks, and also public liability insurance checks. But one of the most important checks done is from Trading Standards. If they say a business cannot have membership with us, for whatever reason, their decision is final, its as simple as that...now that's peace of mind for the consumer. The original idea has always been to keep a database of business professionals that are squeaky clean and very reliable and this is the way our website is going to grow.

You see it all the time on television programmes like Rogue Traders or Cowboy Builders, trusting customers respond to an advert in a business directory and they hand over their hard earned money only to get a dreadful service from companies that are often illegitimate as well as hopeless.

We feel that if a business is willing to have their membership agreed by Trading Standards, be bankruptcy checked, credit checked, identity checked, provide recent references and have their work rated directly by customers, then they are far more likely to be the type of business you would want to hire.

You're In Safe Hands

What is an 0333 number? Customers only pay the same amount as a landline call to an 01 or an 02 number and the price is the same for calls from mobiles. 0333 are included in any discount schemes or inclusive call minutes that you may already have with landline or mobile phone operators. Ofcom, the telecommunications regulator, introduced the 0333 numbers so that consumers could have "confidence in the cost of their calls"
